Central Watson Co, a health and beauty store chain, plans to spend about 100 million baht this year on a "brand refreshment" as part of the celebrations of its 21st anniversary of doing business in Thailand. Consumers also opting for online shopping and home delivery saw growth triple last year from the year before. The budget is part of the total 500 million baht that Watson has earmarked for business expansion this year, which is to be geared towards opening new stores, developing e-commerce and investing in Watson's own brand development. Central Watson operates 430 stores nationwide, and the investment should enable the company to increase the number to 467 stores by year-end.
